A viscosimeter/rheometer by the manufacturer RheoSense for sample volumes of 100 µl and up. It uses microfluidic sensor technology located on a chip which also comprises the measuring channel and pressure sensors. Powered by batteries, the device is fit for mobile use. Also if not equipped with the optional software, it can save up to 20 measuring results The flow rate is set by the experimenter by means of a motorized moving syringe. The dimension of the measuring channel and thus the shear rate are known, the pressure is measured = viscosity.
