Ready-to-use filter units

Only virginal material is used for the manufacture of the ready-to-use filter units to eliminate any possibility of interaction with the sample being filtered if used correctly. The filter units are for laboratory use only. The maximum operating temperature is 50°C.

 

Important: The use of syringes with a volume < 10 ml can generate high pressure which may exceed the maximum operating pressure (700 kPa/7 bar) of the filter units.

 

In filter units with integrated prefilters the dead volume is larger than specified.

 

EtO sterilized = non-pyrogenic in accordance with LAL test (USPXXIII)

Sensitivity: 0.25 EU/ml.

(3) Filterholders for syringes for difficult-to filter solutions

Deep filters made of glass microfibre and used as prefilters retain coarse particles. Ready-to-use filter units with integrated glass microfibre prefilters for intercepting the coarse particles and membrane filters for filtering the finer contamination. The combination of filters offers increased throughflow for less effort.

 

Cellulose-acetate membranes have an extremely low binding capacity for proteins.

 

Regenerated cellulose membranes have excellent chemical stability against organic solvents and can therefore be used for cleaning both aqueous and organic solutions.

 

Cellulose-nitrate membranes are membrane filters which are suitable for diverse applications involving the filtration of aqueous solutions.

 

Hydrophobic PTFE filters are used for the transparent filtration of aggressive organic solvents.

Spartan

  • Versatile ready-to-use filter unit with a hydrophilic membrane made of regenerated cellulose with minimum protein binding capacity
  • First rate chemical resistance against conventional aqueous and organic HPLC solvents
